The Endocrine Department at Menlo Medical Clinic is directed by Peter Sklarin, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.E. Dr. Sklarin is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. He is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Sklarin specializes in dealing with patients who have diseases of the Endocrine System including:
Dr. Sklarin has special expertise in thyroid ultrasound and ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules. He is certified in neck ultrasound by the American College of Endocrinology and he has performed thousands of these procedures. He uses in-office ultrasound to evaluate thyroid and parathyroid abnormalities, and to diagnose and follow up thyroid cancer. Dr. Sklarin is also the Director of the Menlo Medical Clinic Bone Density Center, where a state-of-the-art Hologic Discovery W bone densitometer (DXA) is used for osteoporosis diagnosis.
