The Endocrine Department at Menlo Medical Clinic is directed by Peter Sklarin, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.E.  Dr. Sklarin is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and Internal Medicine.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and the American College of Physicians. 

Dr. Sklarin specializes in dealing with patients who have diseases of the Endocrine System including:

• Diabetes
• Lipid disorders
• Thyroid disease
• Parathyroid disorders
• Osteoporosis
• Pituitary disorders
• Adrenal disorders
• Endocrine neoplasms

Dr. Sklarin performs fine needle aspiration biopsies of the thyroid (FNA) at the Clinic and evaluates the need for surgery or medical treatment.  He also conducts in-office thyroid ultrasound and uses direct ultrasound guidance for thyroid biopsies when necessary. 

Dr. Sklarin is also the Director of the Menlo Medical Clinic - Bone Density Center, where a state-of-the-art GE-Lunar “Prodigy” bone densitometer (DXA) is used for osteoporosis diagnosis. (Please see the Bone Density Centerpage for more information). 

Endocrinology patients are seen in consultation only and must have a referral from their primary care physician.
