The Endocrine Department at Menlo Medical Clinic is directed by Peter Sklarin, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.E. Dr. Sklarin is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the
American College of Endocrinology and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Sklarin performs fine needle aspiration biopsies of the thyroid (FNA) at the Clinic and evaluates the need for surgery or medical treatment. He also conducts in-office thyroid ultrasound and uses direct ultrasound guidance for thyroid biopsies when necessary.
Dr. Sklarin is also the Director of the Menlo Medical Clinic - Bone Density Center, where a state-of-the-art GE-Lunar “Prodigy” bone densitometer (DXA) is used for osteoporosis diagnosis. (Please see the Bone Density Centerpage for more information).
Endocrinology patients are seen in consultation only and must have a referral from their primary care physician.
