Protect Yourself and Your Family from the Flu

The flu is a serious illness that is spread easily from person to person. It is important to get your flu shot in the fall, before flu season begins. Some signs of flu are headache, fever, chills, dry cough, and body aches. Complications from the flu can include pneumonia and can lead to protracted illness.

To reduce the chance of getting the flu, it is important to get the flu shot.

Who should get a flu shot?
  • Any adult older than age 50.
  • Children and adults who have asthma, diabetes, heart disease, HIV/AIDS, and lung disease.
  • Children and adults who live with someone who has a serious disease.
  • Women who are pregnant (second and third trimester).
  • Anyone over 6 months of age who doesn't want to get the flu.


When:  Drop in Clinic Wednesdays 9:00AM -12:00PM and 1:30PM to 4:00PM (also available by appointment).

 

 

 

Cost of the flu shot: Menlo Patients- $81.00, unless covered by insurance.


Note: You must be 18 years of age or older to receive the vaccine at this clinic. If you are pregnant, please see your obstetrician for the vaccine or bring a written note from your physician to receive the vaccine at the Menlo Medical Clinic.
