Registered Nurse (0.8 FTE Part Time)

Registered Nurse for the float pool. Registered Nurses function as members of the patient care team and work under the direction of a physician or manager.   Job duties include telephone triage, care coordination, and support of direct care procedures.  High School graduation/GED equivalent. Valid California Nursing license.  Current CPR certification. At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in the outpatient/ambulatory setting required. Coding & Pre-Claim Audit Supervisor

The Coding and Pre-Claim Audit Supervisor provides coding of professional fees for both inpatient and outpatient settings as assigned.  He/she researches and provides accurate coding for rejected claims and serves as the primary coding resource for the Business Services Department, through knowledge of both governmental and non-governmental coding trends and billing/reimbursement trends for physician specialties.  Significant internal and external working relationships include SHC Compliance Department and others engaged to review and recommend improvements.  In addition, this position instructs and educates physicians on required documentation in order to properly assign codes that accurately reflect the level of service provided.  This opportunity requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3+ yaers experience and MUST possess and maintain a current Certified Professional Coding certification (CPC).  Please send your cover letter and resume to rchung@stanfordmed.org

Human Resources Coordinator– (1.0 FTE Full Time)

We are currently seeking an individual to perform a broad range of administrative and HR support functions, including handling inquiries and data entry related to payroll, benefits, LOAs, NHO, Workers’ Comp, SDI, personal time off, policies & procedures.  You will also be expected to assist in program rollouts and ongoing monitoring of performance reviews, benefits, open enrollment and training/development and audits for HRIS, EZLabor, HRB, invoices and other programs. We’ll rely on you to coordinate advertising and job postings, assist with interview scheduling and travel arrangements, prepare offer letters, conduct new hire orientation and serve as primary user for all HR systems and maintain HRIS system records.  Additional responsibilities will include providing administrative HR support and interfacing/problem solving with a number of business partners, including Staffing, Finance, Benefits, Payroll, Facilities, Clinical and Corporate staff.

This highly visible opportunity requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of HR experience including benefits and payroll administration, excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and computer skills, an attention to detail and a commitment to deadlines and high quality work.  A Bachelor’s degree and experience with HRIS databases are preferred.  Experience in an outpatient physician practice would be a plus.

Revenue Cycle Educator

An exciting new opportunity exists to be part of the start-up and development of University HealthCare Alliance (UHA), a new medical foundation in Menlo Park, CA, sponsored by Stanford Hospital & Clinics (Palo Alto, CA) and organized to manage medical practices in Northern California.

Reporting to the Revenue Integrity Manager, you will be is responsible for developing all elements of training for revenue cycle business information systems, including planning, designing, development and roll out for designated areas and for development of detailed curriculum content and training format.  We’ll also count on you to assist managers/educators/users in establishing educational goals/plans regarding systems training, troubleshoot business workflow problems, participate in any upgrades/modifications to training materials, and maintain expertise in applicable programs/functions necessary for effective operations.

To qualify, you need to be customer-focused and professional with a bachelor’s degree in a work-related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience); 3+ years’ work experience in the healthcare industry in Revenue Cycle/Billing positions, knowledge of front end, middle, and back end revenue cycle processes; ability to perform research regarding complex billing and regulatory guidelines; team leader skills and ability to bring together multi-disciplinary teams; working knowledge of State and Federal websites to obtain coding, billing and reimbursement information; demonstrated knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9 codes and rules--knowledge of Epic a plus.
